Cabo San Lucas Blog

This blog discusses Los Cabos real estate and other important news and happenings in Cabo.

You have most probably  seen a photo of the famous El Arco in Los Cabos if you have ever seen any photos of the area..   El Arco …an arch like rock formation where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean….is possibly Los Cabos most iconic landmark.

Coming here without getting your picture taken with the arch is like going to Disney World and not getting a photo taken with Mickey Mouse.

The arch is accessible by boat and many tours are offered at the marina.

One boards a glass bottomed boat, which allows passengers to see the fish swimming beneath the waves.  While moving, sometimes, it is hard to decide where to look….beneath the water or above.  The scenery is incredible.  You might pass a group of sea lions, divers, jumping off a large rock sticking out of the water  and pelicans hanging out at Pelican Beach.

Some beaches in Los Cabos are not suitable for swimming, but Lover’s Beach on the Sea of Cortez side is.  Note:  Medano Beach directly across the Bay of San Lucas is also a great spot for swimming and water sports.  Swimming is not possible at nearby Divorce Bach on the Pacific Ocean side because of the dangerous rough waters.

Many of the boats that will take you to Lover’s Beach will drop you off and return at a designated time to pick you up.  Check that out before you hire a boat.

Whether you spend time on Lover’s Beach or just take a boat ride and enjoy the scenery around El Arco, it is an experience not to be passed up.  And for more information about the famous Los Cabos:http://www.loscabosagent.com
