Throughout the series, contestants will plan and present their party ideas to the show's judging panel, including
Next Best Thing host Merkin, in-house expert Brian Worely and a special celebrity guest. In the end, the last contestant will be given 24 hours to execute an event using the other contestants as assistants. The winner will also receive the position of "celebrity event planner" at the resort.
"This series has all the right elements for our audience -- celebrity parties, cut-throat competition and nonstop drama," E! programming executive Lisa Berger said in a statement. "The dynamic group of contestants and exciting roster of celebrities that we've attracted for this series are certain to hook viewers from the first episode."
